Leo Manzano kicks to personal best in LondonPublished by
Leo Manzano’s up and down summer is back on the upswing. Manzano kicked his way to a 3rd place finish in the mile at the latest Diamond League in Crystal Place. Augustine Choge and Mekonnen Gebremedhin took the first two spots followed by Manzano. Closing hard the last 200 meters, Manzano posted a personal best 3:50.64. According to lists maintained by Track and Field News, his 3:50.64 makes him the #9 all-time US performer in the mile. This isn’t his only personal best of the 2010 outdoor season. Sandwiched between two forgettable performances in Eugene and Monaco, Manzano ran a personal best 1:45.17 800 meters in Tangiers. In a season of inconsistant performances, Manzano seems to be finding his form as the Diamond League comes to an end. Are we going to see a 1500 meter PR before season’s end? We’ll have to wait and see. More news
